🌍 World Engineering Day 2026

Today we celebrate the innovators, problem-solvers, and quiet heroes behind the systems that keep our world running. At TSC Simulation, we’re proud to support engineers who design, optimise, and safeguard the complex processes that power industries, from energy and chemicals to emerging green technologies.

Engineering isn’t just about building things. It’s about improving lives, protecting the planet, and creating smarter, safer ways to operate. Process and chemical engineers in particular sit at the heart of the global energy transition, designing carbon capture systems, green hydrogen production, desalination plants, and more.

⚙️ A few fun facts from the world of chemical & process engineering:

  • The Haber-Bosch process, developed in the early 1900s, produces ammonia for fertilisers that support food production for roughly half the world’s population.
  • A single barrel of oil doesn’t just make fuel. It is processed into a massive range of everyday products, including aspirin, deodorant, plastics, synthetic fabrics, fertilizers, and even crayons.
  • Desalination technologies like multistage flash distillation make freshwater possible in some of the driest regions on Earth.
  • Simulation technology now allows engineers to test scenarios virtually before touching real equipment, improving safety, reducing costs, and accelerating innovation.

At TSC Simulation, we see every day how immersive training and digital simulation enable engineers and operators to make better decisions, respond to critical situations, and run facilities more efficiently and sustainably.

To all engineers, whether you’re designing plants, modelling processes, training operators, or maintaining critical infrastructure, thank you for shaping a better future.
